Review by Mikesgroover

Mikesgroover The first Oysterhead show in five years and perhaps the final ever(?), this lived up to the expectations of the Bonnaroo crowd. They ran through the Oysterhead standards from The Grand Pecking Order with a loose version of Jailhouse Rock thrown in for good measure. Everyone was in good spirits, with Les initially sporting a foam-rubber pigs head and later a half-Elvis mask.

Plenty of extended exploration here and general weirdness, especially on Rubberneck Lions. A great set, with Copeland a rock and Trey delivering plenty of strong guitar work. My only complaint is that this kind of weirdness would have been better-placed as a late-night set then in the midafternoon heat. Video of the show is available on YouTube.

Review by Deadphish420

Deadphish420 Oysterhead on the lineup is what really made me decide to go to 06 roo and this show left me extremely satisfied that I made that decision. Im writing this review 10 years after the fact so my memory is pretty hazy of the show, not to mention I was far from sober at the time, but i do remember being floored by the performance. I cant give a detailed review of the show since i have not heard it since it was performed, (BTW if anyone knows where to get a recording of this show i would greatly appreciate it), but one thing I remember is Les playing his Whamola at one point and then trey busted out some kind of guitar with antlers on it. And he was getting some kind of effect off playing the antlers. Sounds weird and looked even weirder! I didnt know what the hell that thing was but I loved it. 9/10 for this one

Review by tillmanj

tillmanj The only thing that would have made this show better would have been if it had been a late night show instead of in the middle of the day in brutal sun. Much weirdness and awesome exploratory jams. I feel lucky to have seen what is most likely the last Oysterhead show ever...
